We realise that things are not easy at the moment and if you are having difficulties paying your rent we are here to help

Whether you’re in employment or in receipt of benefit payments, money issues can affect anyone. We’ve provided links to a range of support agencies, tools and information to help you manage your money and make sure you’re receiving all the benefits you’re entitled to.

It’s important you keep in touch with us if your circumstances change or you start to have difficulties as not paying your rent may lead to you eventually losing your tenancy.  If you can’t find the information you’re looking for through the links below or need further assistance, talk to your Housing Officer who can help you get the support you need.

 

The Salvation Army Debt Advice Service

The Salvation Army’s free debt advice service can contact creditors on a person’s behalf to explore and negotiate options like repayment holidays and more realistic repayment plans.

The debt advice centres support people with debt ranging from a few thousand pounds to many tens of thousands of pounds.

Welfare benefit calculator

A benefits calculator will help you find out what benefits you can claim. The calculators you can find through the link below are free to use and will help you understand your entitlements and how your benefits will be affected if you start work or change your working hours
