An Open Letter to Saha Customers

Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II

I imagine that all of us will remember what we were doing when we heard the sad announcement of the death of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II. I was on a train and will never forget the whispers of passengers sharing the news and the tears and silence that then followed.

The 8th of September 2022 is for evermore a historic date and sadly, we now mourn the loss of a monarch who tirelessly and selflessly served her country for over 70 years.

It is my belief that she loved her country and her people. Her 70 years as Head of State, were like no other and she lived through a period of tremendous transformation, innovation, and challenge. She was a role model for us all and alongside this message, I have included a press release from the Salvation Army which illustrates her support for the work of the Army, and I believe, Saha.

As the nation enters a period of mourning, I just want to let customers know that we at Saha, will do our best to provide service while at the same time ensuring that we play our part in showing respect for her passing. Further information, on any impact on our service will be posted on this website in the next few days.

Please note that at midday on 9 September that we are inviting all colleagues to participate in a virtual prayer and reflection event. We will therefore be unavailable between midday and 12:15 today.

Saha is a Christian organisation. Our values include servant leadership, and our ambition is to transform lives. Many of us took inspiration from the work Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. There is no doubt that she served her nation and helped inspire individuals, families, communities and businesses to be the very best that they could be.

Everyone at Saha would like to thank her for her long life of service and we will hold her memory close and use it to inspire us for the challenges that lie ahead.

Interim Chief Executive, Lynne Shea
