Wednesday 17th June saw the launch of sahas exciting new online pre tenancy course Moving On Up!
Residents from our General Needs and supported accommodation along with saha partners joined together to view the course online at Abbott Lodge.

The course is designed to help in the preparation for a transition to independent living, and will cover topics such as moving and setting up home, day to day home maintenance, managing a budget, keeping your tenancy, debt advice and being part of the community.
The course will test knowledge via multiple choices and on passing the modules a certificate will be issued. The 6 modules are as follows:
 See Safe Be Safe
 My Place Nice Space
 Signing Up
 Happy Neighbourhoods
 Safety Starts With Me
 Pay My Way

David Harrison-Howard, Supporting People Service Inclusion & Reviewing Officer, St Helens Council said:
“It’s great to see that the organisation is developing initiatives to provide their residents with an opportunity to gain a greater understanding around the fundamental elements of Safeguarding, protection from abuse and of Health and safety. It was clear to see that by having such systems in place, enables the service to meet them minimum standard for the Quality Assessment Framework and is seen as a best practice tool.”
