saha appoints new chief executive

Salvation Army Housing Association (saha) is delighted to announce the appointment of Nigel Hills as Chief Executive Officer (CEO),   effective 1 May 2019.  Nigel succeeds Nigel Parrington, the current CEO who retires in April 2019.

Nigel Hills is currently the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Finance at saha.  His career started in Midland Bank where he worked for six years in both a local and a London West End branch.  He joined Salvation Army Housing Association in 1984.  Nigel is a qualified Chartered Public Finance Accountant.

Nigel is a professional leader who is passionate about reflecting the culture and values of the association.  He has had 30+ years of experience within the social housing sector and 15 years directorial leadership with 8 years as Deputy Chief Executive.  He is driven by the desire to transform the life of every person that stays in saha accommodation.

Through promotion within the association, Nigel values and understands the contributions each team brings to the successes we have achieved in the past and will continue to do in the future.

During Nigel’s time with saha to date his key achievements have been the recent merger with Chapter 1 through to the successful transfer of engagements of that organisation involving major change management to integrate people, processes and systems.  He has also led on many of the contractual arrangements with third parties including the ability to achieve significant vat savings.  Nigel has been responsible for many of the restructure changes saha has undergone and continues to implement in an evolving business environment.
