Hi my name is Caroline and I live in Salford

I was born in Glasgow and I’m the oldest of 5 . I moved to the borders of Scotland to a Place called Kelso when I was 17 at 18 I joined the army and served as a soldier for 3 years. I married my ex husband and had 3 children we moved around for a few years before settling in Little Hulton in Greater Manchester .My 3 kids all grew up and left home so I had 2 downsize my home. During this time I also qualified as a care assistant for the elderly. I have 3 grandkids who I see every weekend they keep me on my toes.

Prior to moving into my home in Salford I found myself sofa surfing for 5 years due to personal issues.

In December 2011 I was offered a flat on the scheme I was over the moon as it was a new build so everything was brand new.I settled in really quickly but unfortunately in September 2013 I lost all my possessions in a fire in my flat I spent 3 months in saha’s Abbott Lodge while my flat was being fixed. This experience has made me quite strong I have come a long way as I am settled in my home.

I joined the scrutiny panel in 2014 I enjoy meeting other residents and listening to their views.
