Paul Phillips

Interim Chair of the Board

Paul is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Notting Hill Genesis (NHG).

He has worked at NHG and its predecessor Notting Hill Housing Trust for over 16 years and has over 40 years’ experience of housing association finance.

He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds an MBA from the University of Bath.  He was appointed to the saha Board in December 2020

Jennifer Laurent-Smart

Board Member

Jennifer has worked within the Equality and Diversity field for over 25 years in both the private and public sector. Her work involves developing initiatives to help main-stream equality and build capacity within organisations in order to improve their equality practice and enable them to identify the practical steps needed to ensure equality of opportunity and the inclusion of all people.
Jennifer is currently employed as Equality and Diversity Manager for The Salvation Army. She is passionate about exploring opportunities for inclusion and inter-cultural work and has a particular interest in the development of young people.
Jennifer joined the saha Board in May 2014 and also sits on the People and Organisational Development Committee.

Sajjad Iqbal

Sajjad is currently an Executive Director at The Centre for Inclusive Leadership, having previously spent over 10 years in the NHS working within large Acute Trusts as a senior HR professional.

Andrew Lawrence

Board Member

Andrew Lawrence is a Chartered Accountant and combines work as Chairman of the Board of Bron Afon Community Housing with a wide portfolio of non-executive director roles within the charity and public sectors and in insurance and social housing. Andrew has a special interest in corporate governance, strategic leadership, risk management, cultural change and innovation.

Andrew is part of a large church in South Wales and serves as a Street Pastor on the streets of Cardiff. He joined the saha Board in April 2019.
