Employment Support and Training

We are keen to ensure that we are able to contribute toward residents and communities we serve being able to access employment, training and person development. Below are a number of ways that we can potentially help:

  • Wherever possible we work with our contractors delivering these programmes to create employment and training opportunities for residents. This forms meaningful theory and practical training and experience in a variety of building and building related trades.
  • Our parent organisation, The Salvation Army, provides a number of work related opportunities through its Employment+ service, further details can be found here.
  • Residents are able to apply for staff vacancies and are warmly welcomed. Although we need to manage any conflicts of interest there are many opportunities that residents can apply to undertake.
  • We are keen to support community and social enterprise and would be keen to learn of innovations and ideas that individuals and groups of residents may have. Support may be through expertise, assistance in providing suitable space or possibly financial support through our ‘Talent Bonds’ programme.
